Together, we're helping create a future where all youth have an equal opportunity to graduate from high school and build the foundation for their future success!

On December 17, Mitchell Marner hosted the One Team United Live Stream-a-thon, presented by Intact Insurance, to make an assist eliminating hunger in communities across Ontario. Together with our fantastic special guests, we raised over $110,000 for families in need!

We’re proud supporters of the Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation, who improve Jamaican children’s lives by creating a world-class education system. Together we have a shared goal: to give every child a level playing field in life, no matter where they are in the world, through education.

Mitchell’s charitable work through the Marner Assist Fund was recognized by his organization & teammates as the 2019-2020 Toronto Maple Leafs nominee for the prestigious King Clancy Memorial Trophy. The King Clancy is awarded to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution to his community.

This past summer, we teamed up with One Voice One Team for SWOLE Camp 2020, where youth learn extraordinary leadership skills and talent to better themselves and their community each and every week. Every Thursday was #MakeAnAssist Day, where kids and young adults were encouraged to use these skills to perform random acts of kindness.

Marner made a digital appearance on #IsolationNation for #SickNotWeak, a mental health movement spearheaded by host and founder Michael Landsberg. They spoke about Zeus, messy signatures and stigma around metal health in the locker room.

Marner paid tribute to frontline healthcare workers on the City TV special ‘Heroes of COVID.’ Marner spoke to the foundations’ initiatives during the lockdown, and how appreciative he is for the donations received for their efforts.

On April 26, 2020, Mitchell Marner talked all things hockey with the fans for the Heroes of Health Live Online Fundraiser. The livestream raised money for the urgent and highest priority needs of the London Health Sciences Foundation to support their fight against COVID-19.

In an effort to help GTA families and support first responders during these challenging times, Marner Assist Fund set up the Pandemic Relief Fund to make a difference during these challenging times.

In February 2020, we joined forces with the NHLPA Goals & Dreams fund, donating 50 sets of new hockey equipment to help new Canadians & Northern Ontario girls play hockey. We believe everyone deserves the chance to play this amazing game and know the gear went to great use.

The Marner Assist Fund team was delighted to assist My Toy Mountain. Through donations, the Marner Family helped provide children in need with toys and gifts necessary to give them the memorable holiday season all kids deserve!

Through the countless efforts made from everyone involved in the The Marner All-Star Invitational in 2019, the Marner Assist Fund donated $17,000 to the SickKids Foundation.

The Marner All-Star Invitational is a cornerstone for the Marner Assist Fund, and 2019 was no different. Showcasing current and former NHL, Canadian Olympian and other hockey players, the invitational raised funds and awareness for several children’s organizations, including SickKids Foundation, Muskoka Woods, Eabametoong First Nation, Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation, and Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart Charities.

Mitchell Marner never took hockey for granted, so he was thrilled to pay his opportunity forward by supporting the Rez Girls 64 hockey program. Mitchell went beyond donations, getting on the ice with the girls and bringing them to their first-ever professional hockey game as his special guests.

The SickKids Foundation is fighting every day to make every child a healthy child. In 2018, the Marner Assist Fund was able to raise close to $20,000 for this worthy cause. The funds are being put towards toys, games and much-needed supplies for the family spaces at the hospital. We’re delighted that families can spend time together enjoying all the activities offered in Marnie’s Lounge and other play areas.

Everyone deserves a chance, especially our youth. The Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation joins young people on their journey and helps set them on the right path. Its funds support meaningful partnerships, bursaries and unforgettable summer camp experiences for young people with financial or special needs.
